Position Description
As a member of the Integration & Distribution Competency Center, the MuleSoft Middleware Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Middleware and API Management solutions using MuleSoft and related integration technologies.
This role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions while supporting clients in their digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of API Management and Middleware solutions, support business and technical stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across integration platforms and processes.
Your future duties and responsibilities
. Implement, develop, and maintain Middleware and integration solutions.
. Design and develop solutions using Agile methodologies and technologies such as Python, Node.js, Java, JSON, REST, YAML, OpenAPI, RAML, GraphQL, and DataWeave.
. Support clients in the design, implementation, and delivery of API Management and Middleware solutions.
. Contribute technical expertise across multiple iPaaS and API Management platforms including MuleSoft, Google Apigee, WSO2, Software AG, AWS, and Microsoft technologies.
. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.
. Prepare technical specifications, solution designs, and implementation documentation.
. Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
. Collaborate with architects, technical leads, and development teams to deliver integration solutions.
. Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, databases, and third-party systems.
. Perform unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and defect resolution.
. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Middleware services and API performance.
. Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and support materials.
. Provide application maintenance and production support, including incident investigation and resolution.
. Contribute to API governance, integration architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
. Support the growth and knowledge sharing activities of CGI's API Management and Middleware Practice.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
. Minimum of: 1 year of professional experience with a Master's degree, or 2 to 3 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.
. Must have 5+ years of Mulesoft development experience.
. Experience gained within an end-client organization, consulting firm, or IT services company.
. Hands-on experience with MuleSoft or other Middleware/API Management platforms.
. Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: REST APIs Java AngularJS Git Jenkins ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, Talend, etc.) Azure DevOps ELK Stack
. Understanding of API Management, Middleware, and integration architecture concepts.
. Experience working in Agile project delivery environments.
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
. Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
. Certification in MuleSoft or related integration technologies is a strong advantage.
. Must be amenable to working onsite 1-3 days a week in McKinley, Taguig, on a mid-shift schedule.
