Role Overview

  • As a Mortgage Underwriting Assistant / Credit Analyst, you play a critical role before a deal ever reaches a lender — analyzing financials, assessing risk, and helping shape stronger, smarter submissions.
  • You're the one who sees the story behind the numbers — and makes sure every deal stands on solid ground.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze borrower income and financial documents.
  • Calculate GDS/TDS ratios and assess affordability.
  • Review credit reports and identify risks or red flags.
  • Research lender guidelines and product options.
  • Support brokers in structuring mortgage submissions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial assessments.
  • Maintain organized and well-documented analysis records.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications (Must-Have):

  • 2+ years experience in underwriting support, credit analysis, or similar.
  • Experience analyzing income documents (T4s, NOAs, payslips).
  • Strong understanding of debt, liabilities, and affordability calculations.
  • Experience reviewing credit reports.
  • Familiarity with mortgage systems or financial platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience with Canadian mortgage processes.
  • Background in AU or US mortgage or credit environments.
  • Experience supporting deal structuring or broker recommendations.
  • Experience working in remote or offshore teams.

Work Details:

  • Work Setup: Remote (Work from Home).
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday ; Night-shift.
  • Employment Type: Full-time.
