Mortgage Loan Cold Caller

Role Description The Mortgage Loan Cold Caller is a full-time, on-site role based in San Mateo. This position focuses on making outbound calls to potential borrowers, introducing mortgage loan products, and identifying prospects who may be interested in refinancing or new home financing. Day-to-day tasks include following call scripts, qualifying leads, gathering basic financial and contact information, and accurately recording call outcomes in the CRM system. The role also involves scheduling follow-up calls or appointments for loan officers, handling initial questions about mortgage offerings, and collaborating with the sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads. The Mortgage Loan Cold Caller is expected to meet daily and weekly activity targets while maintaining professional, respectful communication with all prospects.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to explain mortgage concepts clearly and professionally.
• Experience with high-volume outbound calling, telemarketing, or call center environments, preferably in financial services or real estate.
• Comfort working with CRM tools and basic computer applications, including accurate data entry and call documentation.
• Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to manage time effectively, follow structured workflows, and meet performance targets.
• Customer-focused attitude, maintaining respect, privacy, and non-discriminatory behavior toward all prospects and colleagues.
• Basic understanding of mortgage lending or a strong interest in learning about home loans, refinancing, and related products.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in sales, finance, or customer service is a plus.
