The Qualifications We Seek
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience supporting an Australian mortgage broker, with end-to-end application management experience
- Strong working knowledge of ApplyOnline and the ability to independently complete servicing and borrowing capacity calculations
- Hands-on experience handling PAYG and self-employed borrowers, owner-occupier and investment loans, first home buyers, and complex lending scenarios
- Solid understanding of Australian lender policies, with the ability to interpret requirements and structure applications accordingly
- Experience with Quickli, Mercury Nexus, SMSF lending, and working across multiple Australian lenders is highly regarded
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client management skills, with excellent written and verbal English
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently, manage multiple files simultaneously, and thrive in a structured, process-driven environment
Your Daily Tasks
Deal Structuring & Scenario Assessment
- Assess client scenarios, conduct borrowing capacity and servicing calculations, analyze financial positions, and identify suitable lenders, products, and lending strategies by interpreting Australian lender policies across a broad panel
Application Management (End-to-End)
- Manage loan applications from enquiry through settlement, including lodging applications via ApplyOnline, preparing lender submissions, coordinating with lenders and stakeholders, tracking progress, and proactively resolving issues
Credit & Document Assessment
- Review and analyze PAYG income documents, self-employed financials, bank statements, and credit reports, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and compliance gaps while ensuring files meet lender and regulatory requirements
Client & Compliance Documentation
- Prepare Credit Proposals, compliance documentation, and accurate file notes aligned with Australian regulations, including NCCP and responsible lending obligations
Communication
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, lenders, and stakeholders, providing timely updates, requesting information efficiently, and escalating complex scenarios when needed
Success in the Role
- Deliver well-structured, compliant, high-quality submissions with minimal oversight, ensuring efficient application progression, reduced rework, and allowing the business to focus on growth and client relationships
