About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mold Equipment Engineer to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of mold equipment used in the manufacturing process. You will play a key role in equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, process optimization, and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and integrity in executing mold equipment engineering activities.
  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance, reliability, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment uptime and reduce manufacturing downtime.
  • Provide technical support to equipment maintenance, repair, and process engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Stay current with equipment manufacturer updates, technical notices, and safety requirements.
  • Perform equipment calibration and ensure machines meet operational specifications.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, operating procedures, and critical machine specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and Design of Experiments (DOE) to resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and equipment performance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Materials Science Engineering
  • Physics
  • Or a related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with Mold equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of mold equipment setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Experience creating work instructions, preventive maintenance procedures, and machine specifications.
  • Knowledge of machine calibration techniques and calibration jigs.
  • Understanding of equipment parameters and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with material-to-machine integration.
  • Advanced knowledge of chase tooling, balancing, and setup.
  • Strong problem-solving and Design of Experiments (DOE) skills.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • SQL
  • Spotfire or similar data visualization and reporting tools
  • Experience with Mold Flow Simulation.
