Job Description: We are seeking a Drupal Developer to take ownership of two Drupal CMS-based web platforms serving healthcare organisations across Australia and the UK. This is a hands-on role spanning day-to-day maintenance, feature delivery, and technical quality, while also helping shape the platforms evolution toward a modern, AI-augmented member experience. The role works across the full stack — from Drupal backend and API integrations through to React/TypeScript front-end development and AWS cloud infrastructure — in close collaboration with the Technical Lead and product stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Maintenance and Support
- Own proactive maintenance across both platform environments (DEV, UAT, PROD for AU and UK)
- Monitor and apply Drupal core, module, and third-party plugin upgrades on a defined schedule
- Manage database health, SSL renewals, uptime monitoring, and cybersecurity pen test cycles
- Integrate platform infrastructure with cloud security tooling for continuous vulnerability detection
- Respond to and resolve support tickets across P1–P4 priorities within agreed SLA windows
- Prepare monthly maintenance and security remediation reports for stakeholders
Feature Development and Enhancements
- Deliver incremental enhancements to the member portal and application under a structured SOW process
- Build and maintain Drupal-based integrations with Salesforce, Tableau, Databricks, Flatfile, and payment gateways
- Develop and extend React/TypeScript front-end components across the member portal
- Implement and iterate on user-facing features including personalisation, onboarding flows, event management, document libraries, and search
- Ensure all work progresses through DEV → UAT → PROD with appropriate testing and release documentation
AI and Platform Evolution
- Contribute to the roadmap for AI-powered features, including natural language search, content recommendations, and intelligent member experiences
- Integrate LLM-based capabilities (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock) into the member portal where appropriate
- Build AI-augmented tools for content management, search, and member engagement
- Stay current with AI/ML tooling relevant to healthcare data platforms and member engagement use cases
Technical Quality and Security
- Conform to the client's Platform and Product Security Policy SOP and ISMS requirements across all development activity
- Write and maintain unit, regression, and integration tests as part of the release process
- Conduct and participate in code review, maintaining standards across the team
- Manage all changes through Git; no direct production changes
- Maintain STG environments as mirrors of PROD for accurate pre-release testing
Qualifications:
- Senior-level experience in full-stack development, with strong fundamentals across backend and front-end work
- Proven experience owning and maintaining production web platforms end-to-end
- Experience integrating third-party services and APIs into a CMS-based application
- Strong understanding of secure development practices and release/testing discipline
- Comfortable working directly with technical leads and product stakeholders in a distributed team setup
- Not every skill below needs to be a perfect match — strong fundamentals and drive to grow into the full scope matter most
