The Methodology Analyst will support the Climate Research team by collecting and analyzing climate data using both manual research and automated, API-based methods. A key part of the role involves utilizing and enhancing internal research platforms (GUIs) by executing climate assessments and collaborating with technology teams to refine these tools. The analyst will also help maintain the team's proprietary evaluation frameworks, ensure data quality, and assist senior analysts in producing reports. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong analytical and technical background, a passion for sustainability, and an interest in improving research processes through technology.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Management Information Systems, Environmental or Climate Science, Data Science, etc.).
- 1-3 years of experience in climate research, data analytics, or related fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify key insights, and maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), web-based research platforms (GUIs), and data retrieval via APIs (Python).
- Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial markets and corporate structures; working experience in a related sector is a strong asset.
- Adaptability & Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently, both independently and collaboratively, within a global team environment requiring flexible hours.
- A process improvement mindset with a keen interest in contributing to tech-based solutions.
- Passion for sustainability and the role of climate factors in financial markets.
- Professional experience working with AI is a bonus.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, integrate, and analyze climate data from diverse sources using both manual research and automated API-based collection methods.
- Utilize and enhance internal research platforms (GUIs) by executing climate assessments and collaborating with technology teams to refine tools and upscale research capacity.
- Support the methodology team in maintaining and updating proprietary climate evaluation frameworks, taxonomies, and datasets.
- Assist in implementing quality control protocols for both manually and automatically ingested data and research outputs.
- Support Senior Analysts in developing and presenting clear, concise reports that communicate research findings to stakeholder audiences.
- Monitor and research emerging climate trends, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to client support by responding to inquiries and assisting in the development of new climate products and services.
Job Benefits
This role is a full-time, hybrid position that requires regular office attendance (3x per week). This position is based in our Makati City office.
