Who we are
The Hosting Helper runs the back end of short-term rental businesses. We don't own the properties and we don't clean them. We handle the parts most operators are weakest at: revenue management and distribution, guest communication and reviews, operations, and the tech stack holding it together. Our clients are property management companies and individual owners across North America and Europe, and we look after roughly 165 properties for them today.
We're not an agency that read a book about this. Our founder built a short-term rental company from one property to 200 doors, sold the portfolio, and turned what worked into a service other operators can buy. That operator background is the reason clients pick us over a marketing shop, and it's the thing your content has to sound like.
The team is fully remote across several countries. Everyone here owns a number on a weekly scorecard, and you would too.
The role
You own Meta for The Hosting Helper. Organic Instagram and Facebook, paid ads, and the reporting that tells us whether any of it worked. Right now our own pipeline is the job. Once that's running, you'll take on ad accounts for our property management clients, who want this done properly and have nobody to do it.
Paid is currently run by an outside agency we're replacing and social media is at zero. Building something that actually generates leads is the first quarter.
What you'd be doing:
Running @hostinghelper on Instagram and Facebook day to day, including the posting calendar
Building, launching and optimising Meta ad campaigns aimed at property management companies and rental owners
Turning our client results into short-form video and static creative, working with our founder on scripts
Testing creative and audiences properly, with a record of what you tried and what it cost
Reporting weekly on spend, cost per lead and cost per qualified demo booked
Taking on client ad accounts once ours is performing, and reporting to those clients directly
What success looks like
In 90 days: the account structure is clean, campaigns are live, and we have real cost-per-lead data instead of an agency slide. In six months: paid social is a channel our sales team can rely on, and at least one client is paying us to run theirs.
Who we're looking for
- Two years or more running Meta ads with your own hand on the budget, not assisting someone who did.
- Proof you've taken an account from mediocre to good, with the numbers to show it.
- Comfortable with B2B. Our buyer is a property manager with 20 to 200 homes, not a consumer
- You can write and direct short-form video, or edit it yourself. I will record whatever you need.
- Strong written English, because you'll be writing our copy.
- Organised enough to run a weekly report without being chased.
- Happy to work with some overlap with North American hours.
Nice to have, not required: short-form rental or property management experience, GoHighLevel, HubSpot or Close, Canva and CapCut, experience managing ad accounts for more than one brand at a time.
What we offer
- A full-time remote role with a team that's growing, direct access to the founder rather than three layers of management, and a clear path to running paid social for our clients as a service line you'd help build. We move fast and we don't do performance theatre. If something isn't working, we'd rather hear it from you early.
