The Merchant Acquisition Manager drives the endtoend onboarding of strategic merchant partners, enabling seamless payment acceptance for UBP credit cardholders across straight and installment programs. This role builds strong relationships with merchants, ensures full compliance and operational readiness, and delivers a smooth onboarding-to-activation lifecycle. By collaborating with crossfunctional teams, the Manager enhances customer experience and supports revenue growth through impactful merchant partnerships.
Job Responsibilities
- :Present partnership proposals to targeted merchants and corporations to enable Straight and Installment payment acceptance
- .Ensure the complete and timely submission of all onboarding requirements from merchants or corporate partners
- .Oversee POS terminal deployment and conduct live testing for ecommerce integrations to activate partnerships
- .Collaborate with Project Managers to roll out PayEasy programs and support partnership launches that drive incremental revenue
- .Conduct monthly store visits to onboarded merchants and accomplish the Feet on the Street (FOS) checklist after each visit
- .Lead business reviews with merchants to identify growth strategies and boost transaction volume
- .Strengthen the endtoend customer experience by providing strong support for proprietary payment programs
- .Achieve 100% smooth onboarding, activation, and incubation transitions leading to the Legacy stage
- .Maintain full regulatory compliance, ensuring Command Center files and NTB Bibles are updated before terminal deployment
- .Work closely with usage teams and crossfunctional partners (Payment Programs, Major Categories, Travel & GUTU, Core Ops, CAMU, Legal, ISDP, FP&A, Cards Acquisition, Cards Product) to execute aligned initiatives
- .Track, analyze, and report the performance of the Merchant Acquisition team and support units, identifying challenges and recommending solutions
