Merchant Acquisition and Management Head

We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive business growth, expand strategic partnerships, and strengthen key client relationships. This role is responsible for developing and executing growth initiatives, identifying new market opportunities, and leading a high-performing team to achieve revenue and portfolio objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition of new merchants and strategic business partners across target industries and segments.
- Develop and execute merchant growth strategies aligned with the company's commercial objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and create compelling business propositions to secure new merchant partnerships.
- Manage and grow existing merchant relationships to maximize engagement, retention, and profitability.
- Drive business development efforts through prospecting, pipeline management, and partnership negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance merchant onboarding, activation, and account management processes.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive developments to support expansion initiatives.
- Establish merchant acquisition plans, target segments, and growth strategies based on market opportunities.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing merchant acquisition and relationship management team.
- Monitor business performance, merchant portfolio growth, and revenue targets while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, sales leadership, partnership management, or account management.
- Strong background within fintech, payments, banking, e-commerce, financial services, or related industries.
- Proven success in acquiring and managing large merchant portfolios and strategic partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver revenue and growth objectives.
