A. Job Summary
The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for managing and executing the merchandising strategies for gadget and tech-related products. This role oversees the performance of product assortments, pricing, stock levels, and visual presentation across all retail branches and online channels. The role requires close coordination with suppliers, stores, and internal teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at competitive pricing.
B. Duties & Responsibilities
1. Product & Inventory Management
- Oversee product listings including SKU creation, pricing, technical specifications, and category grouping
- Monitor inventory levels of fast-moving gadgets and accessories, and recommend replenishment or reallocation plans
- Coordinate new product launches across stores and online platforms
- Identify slow-moving and aging stocks and develop markdown or promotional plans
2. Sales & Performance Analysis
- Review weekly and monthly sales reports to assess product and category performance
- Recommend assortment adjustments based on sales trends, customer feedback, and market movements
- Lead sell-through and margin analysis to guide buying and merchandising decisions.
- Prepare competitor benchmarking on pricing, product offerings, and promotional strategies
- Monitoring of Store Cost-to-Fill Qty and RR inventory quantities to ensure efficient
3. Supplier & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers and brand principals for pricing, delivery schedules, marketing support, and exclusive deals
- Negotiate for better costs, bundling opportunities, and support for promotions or events
- Manage and track consignment agreements and vendor performance
4. Store & Visual Merchandising Oversight
- Ensure stores are aligned with central merchandising plans and display fulfillment
- Digital & E-Commerce Alignment
- Coordinate with online team to ensure availability of online exclusive items, and stocks during online campaigns
5. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise a team of Merchandising Assistants or Associates
- Provide training, mentoring, and support in product knowledge and merchandising systems
- Lead weekly alignment meetings to track KPIs and project timelines
C. Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field
- At least 2–4 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in consumer electronics or gadget retail
- Strong knowledge of gadgets and tech products (phones, accessories, smart devices, etc.) is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis; familiarity with retail systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Good negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
- Willing to travel to branches and coordinate across departments
