Job Description

Merchandise Manager (Luxury Retail)

YOU WILL

(Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following):

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Merchandise Management and Performance Analysis

  • Lead end-to-end merchandise planning, including assortment strategy, buying, pricing approvals, allocation, and distribution.
  • Manage sales forecasting, demand planning, and OTB management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement buying strategies based on sales performance, inventory health, and brand positioning.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and performance analyses to identify trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze daily sales performance by category, SKU, store, and product line.

Sales and Inventory Optimization

  • Manage inventory levels across stores to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and markdown exposure.
  • Evaluate sell-through, stock aging, and inventory metrics to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Recommend strategies for managing obsolete, slow-moving, or defective inventory to maintain a fresh and relevant assortment.
  • Provide updated stock-level reports to store heads and support timely replenishment.

Stakeholder Management Team Development

  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with suppliers and brand principals to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Participate regularly in meetings, monthly alignment calls, and business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Inventory, Visual Merchandising, Warehouse, and Store Operations teams to ensure alignment on merchandising strategies and initiatives.
  • Train, mentor, and develop direct reports by providing guidance, coaching, and regular performance feedback.

SAP Management

  • Oversee overall SAP-related operations, including creation of articles, Purchase Orders (POs), Purchase Info Records (PIRs), and maintenance of batch-managed articles.
  • Handle stock movements between the warehouse and boutique through Stock Transport Orders (STOs).
  • Maintain and update sales prices in the system, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely implementation.
  • Manages construction and renovation projects, including budget allocation for new stores and renovations, through Project Builder and WBS.

Administration

  • Handle end-to-end processing of delivery claims (for damaged goods, missing items, or shipment variances), including investigation, coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams, preparing claim documentation, and ensuring resolution.
  • Manage the entire Return-to-Vendor (RTV) process when required.
  • Monitor credit memos issued by the supplier and ensure they are properly processed.
  • In charge of preparation, monitoring, and submission of several reports
  • Perform other tasks or responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in business or fashion merchandising
  • Minimum of 3 years in merchandise management, preferably within luxury retail
  • Proven experience working with SAP or other ERP systems, with strong attention to
  • details and data accuracy
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to interpret sales data and inventory levels, with the
  • ability to provide insightful solutions or merchandising strategies
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder-management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of fashion and market trends
