Job Description

MediCardis currentlylooking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy:

To perform accurate and timely laboratory diagnostic procedures in support of patient care, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role also supports clinic operations through proper documentation, equipment upkeep, and limited administrative functions such as HMO benefit screening to ensure appropriate test utilization

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
.Perform laboratory diagnostic procedures (30%): Conduct blood extraction, drug testing, and other routine and specialized laboratory procedures in accordance with physician requests and service packages.
.Ensure proper patient and specimen identification (10%): Verify patient identity, laboratory requests, and specimen labeling to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
.Process and analyze laboratory specimens (15%): Handle, prepare, and analyze specimens following standard protocols to maintain integrity and reliability of test results.
.Ensure accuracy and quality of laboratory results (10%): Perform internal quality control procedures and participate in external quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of accuracy.
.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (10%): Ensure proper use, routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment to support uninterrupted operations.
.Document and release laboratory results (5%): Accurately encode, validate, and release results in a timely manner in accordance with reporting standards.
.Monitor laboratory inventory and supplies (5%): Track usage and maintain adequate levels of reagents and consumables to avoid service interruptions.
.Provide administrative and HMO screening support (5%): Verify patient eligibility and screen laboratory requests based on HMO benefit coverage guidelines prior to test availment.
.Prepare reports and provide operational support (10%): Generate required reports and assist in clinic operations, including participation in offsite activities such as on-site laboratory services as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
. Education : Graduate of BS Medical Technology and Medical Technologist Licensure Exam Passer
. Experience : At least 6 months work experience in the same capacity.
