Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Supplies Intake Coordinator & Sales Representative. This position will combine key responsibilities such as patient intake, eligibility verification, insurance coordination, and sales to medical offices. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a fast typing speed, and a background in medical billing, insurance verification, and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Intake Process: Manage the intake process for patients requiring medical supplies, ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Eligibility & Benefits Verification: Verify patient eligibility and benefits for medical supplies by communicating with insurance companies. Review and interpret patient coverage to determine the most appropriate supplies
  • Insurance Coverage & Guidelines Verification: Verify coverage guidelines with various insurance companies, ensuring the correct products are authorized and ensuring compliance with each insurance plan's policies
  • Doctor Communication & Prescription Verification: Reach out to healthcare providers to verify patient prescriptions and medical notes. Ensure that prescriptions meet the necessary requirements for medical supplies and that all information is accurately documented
  • Sales to Medical Offices: Conduct sales outreach to medical offices, introducing new products, addressing client needs, and ensuring medical offices are informed about the latest product offerings. Provide recommendations to doctors and office staff based on their patients needs
  • Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately enter patient information, insurance details, and prescriptions into the system. Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
  • Customer Service: Maintain regular communication with patients, ensuring they are informed throughout the process. Address any concerns or questions they may have regarding their eligibility, coverage, or products

Requirements


  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or related roles, with a solid understanding of medical insurance terminology and processes. Sales experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fast and accurate typing skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Sales experience, particularly in medical supplies or healthcare products, is highly desirable
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance verification across various providers. Experience with verifying patient eligibility and benefits, understanding insurance claims, and working with prescription verification
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical software systems, patient management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related field is preferred
