Schedule: To be discussed (current VAs work 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM ET for reference)
Training: 1 Week Paid Training (same rate)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team and support a busy medical practice. This is a fully remote position where you will serve as the first point of contact for patients—managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling billing-related concerns.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical reception experience, is comfortable handling billing inquiries, and has hands-on experience with AdvanceMD. You should be well-spoken, confident on the phone, and able to handle approximately 50 calls per day with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage approximately 50 calls daily – handle patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and billing questions with professionalism and empathy.
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate coverage.
- Handle billing account inquiries – assist patients with questions about their bills, coverage, and payment options.
- Provide excellent customer service – address patient concerns and ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records in AdvanceMD.
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the front desk and billing functions.
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 1 year of medical receptionist experience – required.
- Hands-on experience with AdvanceMD – required.
- Experience with billing account inquiries, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
- Comfortable handling approximately 50 calls per day.
- Highly qualified, well-spoken, and personable – able to build rapport with patients.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional home office setup.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with medical billing and collections.
- Familiarity with prior authorizations.
- Background in remote medical reception or healthcare administration.
