Medical Coders (WFH after training)

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) Medical Coders to join our growing team.

The ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, MS-DRG/APC coding guidelines and the ability to ensure accurate, compliant coding for high-quality reimbursement and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

For Inpatient Medical Coders (IP):

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure correct MS-DRG assignment and compliance with official coding guidelines.
• Review and analyze complex inpatient medical records for coding accuracy.
• Validate documentation sufficiency and query providers when necessary.

For Outpatient Medical Coders (OP):

• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient visits, ED, surgeries, ancillary services, and clinic encounters.
• Ensure accurate APC assignment and adherence to NCCI, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, issuing queries if required.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS

Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, COC, CCS, etc.)

At least 1 year experience in any of the following

• CDI
• IP DRG
• Inpatient Coding
• ED Facility
• E/M Outpatient
• Ambulatory Coding
• Revenue Integrity (Acute)
• Same Day Surgery (Facility)
• Coding Denials (Professional)
