About the Role

We are seeking Certified Inpatient Medical Coders to join the Shearwater Health team. This is a full-time, remote role, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits. As a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and compliant medical coding for our healthcare clients.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Review medical documentation to identify the correct diagnostic and procedural codes
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies

Qualifications

• Must be a bachelor's degree graduate of any medical allied courses
• Must have an active medical coding certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in inpatient or outpatient profee medical coding
