Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Location: Fully Remote, Philippines

Salary: $3.00 - $4.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time

Job Description

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be focusing on optimizing billing, claims, and payment processes for home care agencies using the client's software.

Requirements

  • 1 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably with Medicare, Medicaid, and HMOs.
  • Proficiency in EHR/EMR platforms and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong organizational skills.

Preference

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Healthcare Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly Medicaid claim submissions to required portals.
  • Resolve rejected or denied claims and conduct follow-ups.
  • Analyze cash postings, reconcile credit balances, and manage aging reports.
  • Utilize software to automate and streamline billing and payroll tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and payers and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Must have their own work device (preferably a desktop or laptop) and a stable internet connection.
  • Must be comfortable with using a time-tracking software for payroll purposes.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background verification check during the final stages of the hiring process.

Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following benefits:

  • A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
  • A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
  • A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work.

Healthcare benefits after 2 months of full-time work.

  • Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of employment, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
