We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Assistant with experience in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Physical Therapy to support clinical and administrative workflows in a fully remote setting. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers with virtual coordination of orthopedic, sports medicine, and physical therapy procedures, ensuring seamless clinical support.
- Prepare and organize digital patient records, treatment plans, and required documentation prior to consultations.
- Accurately record, update, and maintain patient information within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient communications via platforms such as RingCentral or similar tools.
- Provide clear patient education on post-procedure care, rehabilitation protocols, and therapy instructions.
- Support daily administrative and clinical workflows, ensuring timely task completion and provider efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards, ensuring patient data confidentiality and accurate documentation at all times.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably within Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, or Physical Therapy.
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems and communication tools (e.g., RingCentral or similar platforms).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation is an advantage but not required.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced clinical team setting.
