Media Reputation Specialist

The Media Reputation Specialist provides ongoing online listening and alerting for the client regarding critical and sensitive news. They manage and organize media monitoring data for accuracy, and monitor emerging trends, reputational risks, and relevant conversations that may impact the client's brand. They also assist in providing in-depth reputation and reports for the client.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor online news and social media conversations about the client, its competitors, and the industry,
  • Provide timely alerts to the client of potential reputational risks,
  • Lead in the creation of reports, dashboards, and listening frameworks to support client reporting and insights,
  • Handle client requests related to crisis management and reporting,
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy and organization of media monitoring data, ensuring proper categorization, tagging, and storage for efficient analysis to support reputation management initiatives,
  • Deliver end-of-day listening activity reports and facilitate calls to ensure seamless shift handovers,
  • Assist in gathering relevant data for reputation analysis and monthly reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client objectives,
  • Assist in basic quality checks under guidance to ensure data relevance,
  • Regularly collaborate with the Paris Reputation Management Team,
  • Ensure the accurate and up-to-date management of internal trackers by regularly updating data,
  • Provide the Lead with detailed insights and constructive feedback on the performance, progress, and areas for improvement of the trainee or new hire,
  • Coordinate with Lead and escalate issues according to a predefined process,
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Literature, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field,
  • More than 3 years of experience in crisis management, media monitoring, reputation management, or public relations,
  • At least 2 years of experience in client-facing roles involving crisis management, reputation management, media monitoring, or related communications functions,
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal,
  • Proven experience with media monitoring platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Onclusive, Storyclash, etc),
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret diverse information from multiple sources,
  • Advanced proficiency in Boolean query development and the effective use of the Sprinklr platform for monitoring, analysis, and reporting,
  • Advanced understanding of reputation management, media analysis, reporting, and sentiment evaluation methodologies,
  • Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and actionable insights,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace such as Word, Docs, Excel, Sheets, PowerPoint, and Slides,
  • Familiarity with AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT to enhance productivity and streamline tasks,
  • Basic knowledge of collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Slack,
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines,
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed,
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice-To-Have

  • Proven experience in copywriting, content editing, and proofreading with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity,
  • Previous experience working with international clients or foreign counterparts,
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and develop effective solutions to complex challenges, driving continuous improvement in processes, workflows, and client outcomes.
