Media Outreach
Support the creation and implementation of strategic campaigns and Shopee's corporate initiatives by crafting and executing tailored media engagement strategies for each plan and campaign, effectively reinforcing the brand narrative.
Press Support
Assist in preparing press materials, including drafting initial versions of press releases, Q&As, media pitches, and event write-ups, in close collaboration with senior team members.
Event and Interview Coordination
Coordinate media interviews, briefings, and press events to ensure all logistics and stakeholder needs are met.
Monitoring & Insights
Track and analyze media coverage, identify key trends, and compile regular reports with relevant insights for internal teams.
Issues Support
Provide support in managing media queries and issues management under the guidance of senior communications leads, ensuring prompt, accurate, and aligned responses.
Cross-functional Coordination
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including risk, marketing, and regional counterparts, to ensure consistency in messaging and identify potential media opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Approximately 8 years of relevant experience in media relations, agency or in-house; experience in e-commerce, tech, or consumer brands is a plus.
Extensive media network with demonstrated ability to maintain strong working relationships across sectors.
Strong writing and editing skills; adept at tailoring messages to different audiences and platforms.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Strategic yet hands-on, with a collaborative approach and attention to detail.
