Reports to: Lead Media Buyer Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role -
- We're adding a media buyer focused on YouTube and Demand Gen to work alongside our Google Search team. You'll own video and Demand Gen campaigns end to end — build, scale, and optimize — develop full-funnel strategies that complement Search, and back up Search when needed. This role is for someone who loves testing, scaling, and finding new opportunities, not just maintaining accounts. We care as much about attitude and analytical instinct as years on paper. Real-time profitability management is a key part of the role. Throughout the day you'll get hourly performance updates, and your job is to watch the key metrics against what's normal for that campaign and recent days. If cost per call is higher than usual, or climbing update over update, that's a red flag. A great buyer internalizes those numbers, senses when something is off, and moves — adjusting campaign/ad settings, or communicating to team/superiors — rather than waiting for a check-in. If you're thinking yes, that's how my brain already works — or I don't do that yet, but I badly want to learn it — you're who we're looking for.
What you'll do -
- Build, scale, and optimize YouTube and Demand Gen campaigns end to end: targeting, structure, creative setup, placements, exclusions, schedules. - Monitor performance in real time across Google Ads and external sources (Sheets, CRM/call platform) — cost and revenue live in different systems, so you need both. - Watch KPIs against recent norms; flag and act on profitability issues fast, without being asked. - Own the creative testing process for video and Demand Gen: what to test, which angles, hooks, and messaging, and how to read the results. - Own performance against KPIs: cost per call, CPA, ROAS, conv. rate, lead quality. - Back up Search as needed; keep accounts clean (naming, structure, documentation). - Post daily Telegram updates as well as proactive communication throughout the day. - Stay current on new Google Ads/DGen features, AI creative tools, and emerging strategies.
On creative -
- YouTube and Demand Gen live and die on creative. This requires owning the creative process — not just media buying. Above all, you need a point of view on what to test and why — angles, hooks, messaging — not just requesting a 30-second video. On production, you should either: A) Be skilled at developing high-converting video and display creative yourself, or B) Have established resources (editors, designers, UGC creators, AI creative workflows) that let you rapidly produce and test winning ads.
Must-haves -
- Hands-on YouTube / DGen experience — real campaign management with meaningful spend.
- Real-time, data-driven instincts — you notice when a number is off and act fast.
- Strong analytical skills + Google Sheets (pivots, formulas, clean reporting).
- Self-directed and proactive — deliver against SOPs without constant check-ins; raise issues and suggest solutions; ask when you need help. -
- Understanding of conversion tracking concepts; ability to spot when tracking looks wrong.
- Ability to create/edit video/image creative or resources/workflow for same
- Strong English and reliable full-time availability during US Eastern hours (9 AM – 6 PM ET).
How to apply -
