The Technical Training Specialist for Mechatronics Servicing is responsible for designing, developing, facilitating, and evaluating technical training programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of trainees, employees, or students in in the field of Mechatronics Servicing. The role involves designing and preparing instructional materials, facilitating hands-on and classroom training, assessing learner performance, and ensuring that training programs align with national competency standards, industry standards and organizational goals. The Specialist also serves as a mentor and role model, equipping students/ trainees with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to succeed in the mechatronics and automation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and practical sessions on Mechatronics Servicing based on the prescribed curriculum and competency standards
- Prepare instructional materials, learning modules, and assessment tools in line with TESDA or institution guidelines
- Facilitate learner-centered training using appropriate teaching methods and technology
- Supervise and assist students during hands-on/mechanical/electronic/electro-mechanical training
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate learner competencies
- Maintain and manage training tools, equipment, and laboratory facilities
- Provide guidance and mentoring to students on both technical and behavioral aspects
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and compliance with safety procedures
- Participate in curriculum development, training of trainers (TOT), and continuous professional development
- Collaborate and participate with the institution's staff for program implementation, improvement and institutional initiatives
- Performs OJT Visits, monitoring and coordination to assigned student
- Develop and update technical training modules, training plans, and assessment tool
- Assist in curriculum development and continuous improvement of training program
Qualifications
- Preferably Graduate of BS Industrial Technology, Technical Education or Engineering with specialization in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or a related field
- Preferably with National Certificate (NC II or higher) in Mechatronics Servicing (or equivalent With Trainer's Methodology Certificate (TM I or higher) or willingness to obtain
- At least 3-5 years of combined technical teaching and industry experience in mechatronics, electrical, automation, robotics, maintenance or any related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill
- Familiarity with safety protocols and industry standards
