Job Description

Project Engineer - Mechanical (PE/PIC)

MEPF Construction, Building Services & Fit-Out Projects

We're looking for a results-driven Mechanical Project Engineer / Project-In-Charge to lead the execution, coordination, and delivery of mechanical and MEPF works for medium- to high-rise developments and fit-out projects. This role is responsible for driving projects from mobilization through testing & commissioning, turnover, and client acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day execution of mechanical and MEPF works on-site
  • Supervise site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and specialty trades
  • Develop and manage baseline, look-ahead, and recovery schedules to keep projects on track
  • Monitor project progress, manpower productivity, materials, and equipment utilization
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, general contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved methodologies, and QA/QC requirements
  • Review and validate subcontractor and supplier billings prior to approval
  • Manage testing & commissioning activities, inspections, punch listing, and project closeout requirements
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
  • Drive project completion and turnover, including Certificate of Completion (COC) requirements
  • Enforce HSE standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site

Qualifications

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC Registered) - required
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or MEPF construction projects
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Project-In-Charge, or Site Engineer
  • Strong background in medium- to high-rise buildings, commercial developments, residential towers, or fit-out projects
  • Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledgeable in testing & commissioning, QA/QC processes, and Philippine building codes and standards
  • Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage project delivery while maintaining quality, schedule, cost, and safety objectives
