Under the supervision of the Facilities Operation & Maintenance / Trades Shop Supervisor. The Mechanical / HVAC-R Foreman shall supervise the daily activities of the HVAC-R and maintenance team to ensure preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and repair activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and contract requirements.

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Serve in the capacity of an Assistant or Deputy Mechanical Engineer when the Site Lead / Night (Mech Eng) is unavailable, fulfilling the associated roles and responsibilities.
  • Supervising of HVAC – R Tech, HVAC Mechanic:
    • Supervise and provide daily directions to HVAC-R Technicians, HVAC Mechanics
    • Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance activities based on work priorities and approved work orders.
    • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within established timelines.
    • Monitor personnel performance, workmanship, productivity, and compliance with company procedures.
  • HVAC-R & Maintenance Operations
    • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and equipment.
    • Supervise troubleshooting, repair, and routine servicing activities performed by technicians.
    • Ensure equipment is restored to operational conditions following maintenance and repairs.
    • Verify that completed work complies with manufacturer recommendations and company standards before work order close-out.
  • Safety and Risk Management Compliance:
    • It is essential to ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies. This includes performing regular safety inspections, recognizing potential hazards, establishing safety procedures, and participating in training for Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration. Ensuring that the CFWA (Critical Facility Work Authorization), PTW (Permit to Work), MOS (Method of Statement), HIRAC (Hazards Identification, Risk Assessment and Control) is well understood process among the building staff, engineers, tenants, and contractors engaged in work on the critical infrastructure of the building.
  • Work Planning
    • Coordinate daily maintenance schedules with the Mechanical Engineer or Site Lead.
    • Ensure manpower, tools, materials, and spare parts are available before work begins.
    • Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and planned activities with affected departments.
    • Assist in preparing preventive maintenance schedules and work plans.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, client requirements, and applicable Philippine regulations.
    • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
    • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Verify compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Method of Statement (MOS), and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) procedures where applicable.
    • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to the Site Lead.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect completed HVAC-R and maintenance work before acceptance.
    • Verify that repairs and maintenance activities meet quality standards and operational requirements.
    • Ensure deficiencies identified during inspections are corrected promptly.
  • Team Leadership
    • Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to HVAC-R and Mechanical technicians.
    • Identify training needs and promote continuous improvement.
    • Promote teamwork, accountability, and good housekeeping within the workshop and work areas.
  • Record Management:
    • Maintain precise documentation of Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration, systems, facilities operation and maintenance & project activities, encompassing work orders, time sheets, and equipment maintenance logs
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present periodic reports regarding electrical systems and facility operations, performance indicators, and enhancement initiatives to the FO&M Site Lead / Night (Mech Eng). Ensuring precise Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration, and facilities maintenance documentation and overseeing budgets. Preparation and Submission of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports of all Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration, facility operations are in harmony with the organization's goals and objectives. Serve as the sub-primary contact for electrical systems and facilities operations at various V2X sites.
  • KPI's / Performance Metrics:
    • High client/stakeholder satisfaction score.
    • Consistent and efficient communication within V2X organization internally, and with the client/stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement in the following:
    • Employee morale and contentment
    • Client satisfaction.
    • Initiatives for improvements and cost savings for both the client/stakeholders and V2X.
    • Feature delivery timelines met
    • Compliance with V2X standards
    • Strictly ensure zero accidents on account.
    • Ensure that the KPI objectives for the account are achieved.
Qualifications

  • Qualifications:
    • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Industrial Technology (Mechanical Technology), or any related Mechanical or HVAC-R discipline.
    • Licensed Mechanical Engineer is an advantage but not required.
    • TESDA RAC Servicing NC II or equivalent HVAC-R certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • BOSH, COSH, DOLE SO1, or equivalent safety certification is an advantage.
    • TESDA RAC Servicing NC II or higher certification is preferred.
    • MEWP (Aerial/Scissor Lift) certification is an advantage.
    • Scaffolding Safety Training is an advantage.
    • Fire Safety or Fire Protection-related training is an advantage.
    • Must possess a valid Philippine Driver's License (Restriction Code B/B1 or equivalent).
    • Must be a Filipino citizen or legally authorized to work in the Philippines.
    • BOSH, COSH, DOLE SO1, or equivalent safety certification is an advantage.
    • TESDA RAC Servicing NC II or higher certification is preferred.
    • MEWP (Aerial/Scissor Lift) certification is an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance with emphasis on HVAC-R systems.
    • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory, lead technician, or foreman position.
    • Experience supervising maintenance personnel in commercial, industrial, shipyard, or critical facilities.
    • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC-R systems.
    • Experience using IBM Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    • Experience coordinating work permits, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance planning.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift/push/pull 25 lbs.; Work will require walking up and down stairs, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
