MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Job Description

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise equipment downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Replace defective parts and carry out equipment servicing.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare service reports.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company regulations.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of machinery when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Able to diagnose and repair industrial machinery independently.
• Familiar with mechanical tools, equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Able to read basic technical drawings and manuals.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays when operationally required.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
