Overview
In response to the growing demand in the UK water sector, we are expanding our talent search in the Philippines for Mechanical Engineers with experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping mechanical designs that support the delivery of innovative water and wastewater projects across the UK. As part of a multidisciplinary MEICA team, you will collaborate with project managers, technical leaders, clients, contractors, and supply chain partners to deliver solutions that positively impact the environment and communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical designs from feasibility through to detailed design and construction for a range of water and wastewater projects, including:
- Treatment plants
- Pumping stations
- Sewerage networks
- Pumped-storage systems
- Produce high-quality technical deliverables such as:
- P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Valve and penstock schedules
- Mechanical specifications
- Above-ground pipework layouts
- Perform key engineering calculations including:
- Pump sizing and selection
- Equipment sizing and specification
- Safe access and maintenance assessments
- Lifting and operational arrangements
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Structural, Electrical, Geotechnical, and Process Engineering to deliver:
- Technically robust
- Cost-effective
- Program- and quality-compliant solutions
- Participate in project meetings alongside senior engineers, contributing to technical discussions and gaining exposure to client and stakeholder engagement.
- Support the delivery of innovative, sustainable, and low-carbon engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, policies, and procedures (including CDM where applicable).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer (preferred but not required)
- 2–5+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Experience working within a MEICA or multidisciplinary engineering environment
- Experience with a consultant or contractor organization is an advantage
- Exposure to UK or international standards is a plus
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles in water-related projects
- Familiarity with:
- Pumps and hydraulic systems
- Mechanical equipment used in treatment facilities
- CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
- Awareness of Health & Safety legislation (e.g., CDM)
- Strong written communication skills (technical reports, drawing annotations)
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work within diverse, multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
