Overview:
We are looking for a STEM Tagalog Expert (Tagalog and English) to help train a leading AI lab's Large Language Model. You will work on providing an AI model with feedback in STEM-related domains.
Job Details
Quality Auditing & Evaluation:
- Audit and evaluate AI-generated responses for mathematical accuracy, clarity, and logical structure.
- Review math/science problems and solutions in both Tagalog and English, ensuring proper translation and conceptual alignment.
- Identify and document errors, inconsistencies, or gaps in AI-generated problem-solving steps or translations.
Linguistic & Mathematical Validation:
- Ensure translations between Tagalog and English retain accuracy and language fluency.
- Assess the AI's ability to communicate mathematical reasoning clearly across both languages.
- Provide bilingual feedback to improve both language-specific and STEM-specific outputs.
Annotation & Feedback:
- Deliver structured feedback on annotation quality reports to enhance AI training outcomes.
- Review and refine explanations, equations, and final answers, confirming alignment with educational standards.
- Offer suggestions to improve AI performance on multilingual math tasks.
Data Insights & Reporting:
- Use internal annotation tools to review datasets and track quality metrics.
- Share insights on patterns of errors and propose strategies for reducing inaccuracies across language boundaries.
Ideal Qualifications
Mathematical & Linguistic Expertise:
- Fluency in Tagalog and English, with proven experience translating or interpreting math and science-related content.
- Strong foundation in core STEM areas such as algebra, calculus, geometry, biology, and chemistry
- Familiarity with bilingual instruction, academic translation, or educational content development.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze and explain complex STEM problems step-by-step, identifying logical flaws or missing details.
- Skilled in evaluating language and STEM components simultaneously, ensuring clarity and consistency.
Clear & Concise Communication:
- Able to communicate technical ideas and concepts clearly in both languages.
- Experience writing or reviewing STEM explanations, annotations, or curriculum content is a plus.
Attention to Detail:
- Strong ability to detect subtle mathematical or linguistic errors, ambiguous phrasing, and incomplete logic.
- Ensures terminological and numerical accuracy throughout reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Fluency in both Tagalog and English.
- 2+ years of experience in math education, content development, translation, or AI data evaluation.
- Familiarity with educational or AI annotation tools is a plus.
Additional Details:
- The role is remote and asynchronous, i.e., you can primarily work on your own schedule.
- This project will require approximately 20 hours of work over one week.
