Job Description

Company Description

Fly High Business Process Outsourcing Solutions fosters a collaborative and innovative workplace culture where team members are encouraged to grow and gain hands-on experience. The company supports professional development by offering opportunities for career advancement and emphasizes flexibility in workplace arrangements and scheduling. At Fly High, creativity and a strong sense of teamwork are at the core of everything we do, making it a standout workplace.

The Role:

The Math Designer is the author of the mathematical model behind every Maharlika title. Mathownership is in-house at Maharlika as a non-negotiable strategic decision. External studios implement the math in code; they do not design it. The Math Designer translates Maharlika's signature mechanics and player experience commitments into concrete mathematical specifications that studios execute against.

The role authors the Math Model document for each title — RTP , volatility, paytables, reel strips, bonus pay distribution, max-win paths, jackpot contribution rates, trigger probabilities — and reviews studio implementations for fidelity to the model. The role also collaborates with Maharlika's internal IT team on the multi-tier network jackpot engine, which is Maharlika-owned infrastructure that requires math specification for pools, contribution rates, seed amounts, and trigger evaluation.

Maharlika operates a two-lane catalogue structure:

  • Lane A — Premium Heritage. Every Lane A title carries the Hold-and-Win bonus feature paired

with the multi-tier network progressive jackpot system (Mini, Minor, Major, Grand). This signature combination is non-negotiable. Base-game pay mechanics, reel mechanics, and win modifiers vary per title at Math Designer discretion within Maharlika's lane targets.

  • Lane B — Broad-appeal. Mechanic-varied catalogue. Any pay mechanic, reel mechanic, or bonus

feature that suits the title — cluster pays, cascades, multipliers, expanding wilds, scatter pays, free spin structures, or others. Some Lane B titles integrate the multi-tier network progressive jackpot; others ship standalone on their own mechanic.

Key responsibilities

Math model authorship

  • Author Math Model documents for each title to the standard required by iGaming certification

labs (BMM, GLI, iTech Labs, eCOGRA).

  • Specify volatility, RTP , hit frequency, paytables, reel strips, bonus pay distribution, max-win

structure for every title.

  • Design jackpot integration math — contribution rates, seed amounts, tier-specific paytables,

trigger probability through the Hold-and-Win bonus feature — for the multi-tier network progressive jackpot system.

  • Define jurisdictional math variants where required (different RTP and contribution requirements

per market: PAGCOR, MGA, UKGC, and others as Maharlika expands).

  • For Lane B titles, recommend per-title max-win calibration above or below the 5,000–15,000x

positioning centre based on mechanic.

Player experience tuning

  • Translate Maharlika's player experience commitments — forgiving base, ceremonial peaks,

laddered max-win delivery via Hold-and-Win — into concrete math parameters.

  • Author Math Identity statements that communicate the math character to studios, art teams, and

audio teams in player-experience language, not just numbers.

Studio implementation review

  • Review studio math implementations against the authored Math Model at every milestone.
  • Identify and resolve fidelity gaps before submission to certification labs.
  • Serve as math point of contact for studios throughout production.

Jackpot engine collaboration

  • Work with Maharlika's internal IT team on the multi-tier network progressive jackpot engine math.
  • Specify pool models, contribution logic, seed amounts, trigger evaluation through the
  • Hold-and-Win bonus feature, and reset behaviour.
  • Ensure jackpot engine implementation matches the math specification across all integrated titles.
  • Recommend seeding strategy and seeding budget sized to network-scale volume forecasts.

Certification support

  • Prepare math documentation for certification submission packages.
  • Support certification labs during testing with clarifications, simulations, and adjustments as

needed.

Required qualifications

  • Five or more years of slot or casino game math experience in a publisher, studio, or specialist math

consultancy role.

  • Has shipped commercially released slot titles as lead math designer.
  • Direct experience designing Hold-and-Win bonus feature math.
  • Direct experience designing multi-tier progressive jackpot math, including contribution rate sizing,

seed amounts, trigger evaluation, and reset behaviour.

  • Strong quantitative background — degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, computer

science, physics, or related quantitative field.

  • Fluent in simulation and modeling tools — Python with NumPy and SciPy, R, MATLAB, or specialist

iGaming math tools.

  • Familiar with iGaming regulatory math requirements (RTP , volatility, jackpot contribution

disclosure, jurisdictional variants).

  • Strong written communication — must author math specifications that engineering and design

teams can execute against without ambiguity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Direct experience with multi-tier network progressive jackpots — Aristocrat Dragon Link, Lightning

Link, Dollar Storm; Light and Wonder Duo Fu Duo Cai; Playtech Age of the Gods; Pragmatic Play Jackpot Play or Wolf Gold Power Jackpot; NetEnt Divine Fortune or Mega Fortune; or comparable.

  • Prior employment at Aristocrat, Light and Wonder, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, or IGT, or

another premium-tier slot publisher with proven multi-tier progressive jackpot and Hold-and-Win experience.

  • Asian market experience — Philippines, Macau, Singapore, or familiarity with regional regulatory

frameworks.

  • Direct relationships with certification labs (BMM, GLI, eCOGRA, iTech Labs).
  • Experience working in a publisher model where external studios implement the math, rather than

designing math in-studio.

  • Experience with jurisdictional RTP retuning — engineering a math model so RTP can be retuned

per market without breaking the volatility profile or the jackpot ladder.
