Material Procurement & Planning Manager

Job Description

The Material Procurement & Planning Manager is assigned to manage raw materials planning to achieve the on-time fulfillment of orders. The Material Planning Manager ensures continuous availability of materials to support customer orders delivery and production continuity and manages efficient and accurate procurement and delivery of materials to help attain inventory goal.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading material team in a manufacturing environment, with high energy and responsiveness, as well as the ability to lead cross-functionally.

• Develop a high performing purchasing team with strong morale

Key responsibilities

• Manage & lead a team of buyers to achieve on time delivery performance

• Lead the MRP monthly procurement run

• Foster a team environment

• Work internally with key stakeholders including internal departments (e.g. finance, planning, new product,

engineering, quality ) as well as supplier suppliers

• Supplier escalation

• Analysis tied into the supplier & purchasing performance as well as budget performance

• Cost avoidance/reduction

• Sourcing for local commodities

• Relentlessly pursuit of on time delivery performance

Requirements

• At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management-related courses

• Must currently be in Cebu, Philippines

• The candidate must have 8 - 10 years of planning/ purchasing experience, with at least 5 years of people

management experience

• Used to work in complex manufacturing environment with multi level BOM

• Experience leading procurement/materials team in a high-speed manufacturing environment

• Ability to multi-task

• Good analytic skills

• Good communication skills

• Proven track record at process improvement

• Proficient in MC office, systems-oriented and computer literate. Experience with using best of class ERP tools

would be an asset.

• Be aware well versed in the best practices of procurement and material management

• Experience with high mix and high volume manufacturing consumer good would be an asset
