Job Description

TE Connectivity is currently seeking a Materials Planning Analyst III (Mandarin-speaking) to join our Materials team. This key position will report directly to the Materials Manager at our Hong Kong facility.

The Materials Planning Analyst II position is responsible for purchasing materials from our key suppliers, scheduling customer orders, and establishing relationships to ensure excellent delivery and quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong understanding of SAP and/or Material Resource Planning Systems
  • Receive, schedule, and expedite customer orders and set priorities in SAP
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with key suppliers
  • Purchase materials from Internal and External suppliers
  • Participate in escalations team meetings to ensure materials tasks are planned and executed
  • Maintain and expedite purchase orders according to MRP requirements
  • Tactical follow-up with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality, production, customer, and on-time delivery schedules
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring supplier schedules, quality specifications, and delivery
  • requirements are met.

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of parts while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • reliability and meeting both production and delivery requirements
  • Help achieve performance targets, including delivery, inventory & freight savings

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Business Management, or Supply Chain.
  • 7 to 10 years of buyer experience or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English and the Chinese Language
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and planning operations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to negotiate and influence the actions of others to achieve business goals.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent Materials Resource Planning systems
  • Strong understanding of SAP and/or Material Resource Planning Systems
  • APICS certification
