Role: Master Technician – Philippines

The Master Technician shall act as a technical bridge between Dealer Network, TSO Team, and TVS India Engineering, ensuring early detection, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution of product-related issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Master Technician – TVS Philippines

1. Field Issue Management

Visit dealers along with TSO team to identify technical issues

Collect and analyse complaints related to:

• Engine / EV systems
• Electrical & electronics
• Fitment / assembly issues

Classify issues into critical / repetitive / minor categories

2. Technical Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis

• Perform detailed inspections on defective vehicles
• Conduct failure analysis using standard tools and methods
• Provide accurate root cause diagnosis before escalation

3. Coordination with India Engineering Team

Prepare structured reports including:

• Issue description, VIN details, Photos / videos, Root cause hypothesis

Coordinate with TVS India R&D / Quality teams for:

• Technical clarifications & Product improvement actions
• Track all escalated cases till closure

4. Dealer & TSO Technical Support

• Support TSOs in resolving complex field issues
• Guide dealer technicians on difficult repairs
• Ensure implementation of field fixes / service advisories

5. Training & Capability Building

• Conduct hands-on training sessions for:

Dealer technicians, Garage mechanics (PGM), Internal service staff

• Focus areas: New models (EV + ICE, 2W & 3W) , Frequent failure areas, best diagnostic practices

6. Product Improvement Feedback Loop

• Identify recurring defects and trends
• Share structured feedback to India team
• Support implementation of: Design changes , Process improvements ,Service updates

Qualifications

Education :Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering

Experience

5–8 years in automotive service / technical diagnostics

Strong experience in:

• EV + ICE systems
• Field diagnostics
• Dealer technical support

Skills

• Advanced troubleshooting & failure analysis
• Strong communication (technical reporting)
• Hands-on expertise in 2W / 3W systems
• Data-driven problem solving
• Ability to train and mentor technicians
