Reporting directly to the COO and co-managing the department alongside the Senior Content Lead, the Marketing Strategist serves as the Growth Architect for Taters Enterprises, Inc. (TEI). While the Senior Content Lead drives the creative vision, the Marketing Strategist is responsible for the commercial strategy, campaign effectiveness, and market expansion. This role bridges the gap between data and action. The Strategist translates business goals into actionable marketing plans, manages the marketing budget, oversees market research, and ensures that every creative output delivers measurable ROI. They lead the integration of Data Analytics and A.I. to predict trends and optimize customer acquisition.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing Planning & Budget Management
- Develops the annual and quarterly Marketing Plan, defining objectives, target
audiences, and key results (OKRs) in alignment with company sales goals.
- Manages the Marketing Budget, allocating resources efficiently across
channels (Digital Ads, In-Store, Events) to maximize ROI.
- Collaborates with the Senior Content Lead to align the Editorial Calendar with
strategic business priorities (e.g., pushing slow-moving inventory, launching
new flavors).
- Data-Driven Decision Making & A.I. Integration
- Supervises the Junior Marketing Analyst to gather competitive intelligence and customer insights.
- Utilizes A.I.-powered analytics tools to forecast sales trends, segment customers, and personalize marketing offers.
- Conducts post-mortem analysis of all major campaigns, identifying wins and lessons learned to refine future strategies.
- Commercial Growth & Sales Alignment
- Acts as the primary liaison between Marketing and Operations/Sales. Ensures that marketing campaigns are operationally feasible and fully supported at the store level.
- Develops Local Store Marketing (LSM) toolkits for Area Managers and Store Managers to drive traffic in specific trade areas.
- Identifies new partnership opportunities (e.g., movie tie-ins, delivery app promos) to acquire new customers.
- Team Leadership & Co-Management
- Co-manages the department with the Senior Content Lead, fostering a culture of collaboration between Art (Content) and Science (Strategy).
- Mentors the Junior Marketing Analyst and Marketing Coordinator, setting clear KPIs and providing professional development guidance.
- Establishing standardized workflows for campaign execution, from brief to launch to analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Data Science. Master's Degree (MBA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing strategy, brand management, or trade marketing. At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in F&B or Retail is highly preferred.
