Role OverviewThe Marketing Project Manager is a full-time, permanent role responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of True Insight's client projects from internal kickoff through completion.
This role is remote and will work closely with leadership, account management, research, strategy, design, copywriting, development, digital advertising partners, vendors, and freelance specialists to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, on time, and within scope and budget.
The successful candidate MUST have a marketing, market research, consulting, or marketing agency background and understand how integrated marketing projects are planned, resourced, managed, and delivered.
This is not primarily a social media or content coordination role.
The Marketing Project Manager will manage a variety of projects including market research and strategy engagements, visual brand identity projects, website projects, creative campaigns, digital advertising creative, and other integrated marketing initiatives.
The role requires someone who understands enough about these different types of work to build realistic project plans, identify dependencies, manage freelance specialists, anticipate risks, and know when an issue needs to be escalated.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Delivery- Manage marketing and market research projects from internal kickoff through final delivery.
- Translate approved scopes and project plans into clear ClickUp workflows with milestones, tasks, dependencies, review points, and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project timelines, task ownership, budgets, and deliverable status throughout the project.
- Proactively identify delays, scope risks, resource conflicts, missing information, or dependencies that could affect delivery.
- Adjust schedules when approved changes or client delays occur and communicate impacts to the appropriate team members.
- Ensure required internal reviews and approvals happen before work is presented to the client.
- Escalate strategic, quality, scope, budget, or client relationship issues when senior judgment is required.
Freelancer, Vendor & Resource Management- Coordinate the day-to-day work of freelance and full-time strategists, researchers, analysts, designers, copywriters, developers, motion designers, and other external specialists.
- Confirm availability, assignments, deadlines, rates, budgets, and deliverables.
- Create and assign clear ClickUp tasks using approved briefs, scopes, timelines, and required outputs.
- Ensure team members have the information and context required to complete their work successfully.
- Follow up on progress, manage handoffs between specialists, and hold resources accountable to agreed timelines.
- Track freelancer hours, costs, capacity, and project allocations.
- Identify resource gaps or workload conflicts and escalate where additional support is required.
Integrated Marketing & Research Project ManagementManage projects across a variety of service areas, including:
- Research & Strategy: Coordinate recruitment, interviews, surveys, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, presentations, research vendors, and project milestones in collaboration with Research and Strategy Leads.
- Brand & Creative: Manage visual identity, campaign creative, copywriting, design, motion, feedback rounds, revisions, approvals, production, and final asset delivery.
- Websites: Coordinate strategy, copy, design, client content, approvals, development dependencies, and launch requirements alongside the Technical & Digital Delivery Lead.
- Digital Advertising & Recurring Work: Coordinate monthly reporting, quarterly creative development, asset production, digital advertising partner requirements, AEO/GEO work, insight reporting, and other recurring deliverables.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery process but does not replace the strategic, creative, research, technical, or media expertise of the appropriate Project Lead or specialist.
Client, Scope & Budget Coordination- Support the Account Lead or President with routine project communication, status updates, timelines, client inputs, feedback, approvals, and outstanding items.
- Follow up professionally and assertively when client delays could affect project delivery.
- Document decisions, action items, and changes that affect scope, timelines, or budget.
- Track project hours, freelancer and vendor costs, and progress against approved estimates.
- Identify potential scope creep, additional revisions, or unplanned work before it affects project profitability.
- Support change orders and provide Finance with accurate information for invoicing and project profitability reporting.
Internal Operations & Process Improvement- Maintain visibility into active projects, deadlines, freelancer capacity, and upcoming resource requirements.
- Lead or support regular internal project and resourcing meetings.
- Maintain and improve ClickUp templates, project workflows, freelancer processes, checklists, and delivery standards.
- Work closely with the Proposal & Estimating Coordinator to ensure strong handoffs from sales into delivery.
- Support post-project reviews and recommend improvements to estimating, resourcing, project management, and delivery processes.

- Internal project coordination.
- Project budget and hour tracking.
- Identification and escalation of scope, timeline, budget, and resource risks.
- Coordination of research, creative, website, campaign, and recurring project workflows.
- Maintaining accurate and current project information.

- Final decisions regarding client relationship issues.
- Final hiring or termination decisions for employees or contractors.
QualificationsRequired Experience & Work Requirements- Marketing, market research, consulting, or agency experience is REQUIRED.
- 4–8+ years of project management experience within a marketing agency, research firm, consultancy, creative agency, digital agency, or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple integrated marketing projects at the same time.
- Experience managing projects involving several of the following:
- Market research and strategy
- Visual brand identity
- Creative campaigns
- Website design and development
- Digital advertising
- Copywriting and content development
- Experience managing freelance specialists, vendors, contractors, or distributed project teams.
- Experience creating detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, task assignments, and delivery workflows.
- Experience managing project budgets, hours, scope, revisions, and deadlines.
- Strong experience with project management software such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Wrike, or similar.
The Fine Print- Full-time, permanent opportunity reporting to the President of the company.
- Primarily remote role.
- Must have reliable high-speed internet and an appropriate remote work setup.
- The role will be in the English language and requires someone who is a native English speaker.
- Core office hours are 7:30 AM–4:30 PM MT.
- Team members must have at least 4 hours of overlap with True Insight's business hours.
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience in the range of $1, 200 - $1,700 CAD/month, plus bonus for those who become eligible based on our bonus program.
