The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-caliber Marketing Performance Analytics Lead to serve as a Player/Coach for our growing data operations. This is a pivotal role where you will own the architectural buildout of marketing reporting infrastructure while leading and leveling up a team of specialized GrowthAssistants.

You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on marketing data models—translating complex, ambiguous leadership requests into structured, actionable Looker dashboards and Snowflake data models. If you are an expert in SQL and marketing KPIs (CAC, LTV, Attribution) who thrives on both deep-dive analysis and mentorship, this is the role for you.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Infrastructure Leadership: Own the design and maintenance of global marketing reporting infrastructure, ensuring scalability across regions and growth functions.
  • BI Development: Build and optimize high-impact Looker dashboards to track critical KPIs including CAC, LTV, and multi-touch attribution.
  • Data Modeling: Write and refine complex SQL queries in Snowflake to aggregate and transform large-scale datasets into usable marketing models.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of GrowthAssistants by prioritizing workflows, providing task direction, and ensuring timely delivery of all projects.
  • QA & Governance: Serve as the primary QA owner and escalation point, validating data accuracy and troubleshooting inconsistencies to maintain high trust in our reporting.
  • Strategic Partnership: Translate stakeholder needs into analytical frameworks and partner with leadership to interpret trends and drive decision-making.
  • Operational Excellence: Build scalable SOPs, documentation, and onboarding frameworks to improve team efficiency and output quality.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 4+ years in marketing analytics, BI, or data analysis, ideally within a fast-moving startup or global environment.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL (Snowflake preferred) and extensive experience building dashboards in Looker or similar BI tools.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of marketing data, including attribution models, channel performance, and unit economics.
  • Analytical Rigor: A strong QA mindset with the ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear, reliable analytical frameworks.
  • Leadership Skills: The ability to balance individual contribution with team oversight, coaching junior analysts, and managing high-volume priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to interface with senior stakeholders and explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Innovation: An eagerness to experiment with AI tools to enhance reporting processes and data workflows.

Bonus Points if:

  • You have experience in marketplace, delivery, or app-based businesses (e.g., DoorDash, Wolt).
  • You are familiar with CRM and retention data (email, push, and lifecycle marketing).
  • You have a background in Python or advanced data science tooling.
  • You have experience working with distributed, global teams.
  • You possess basic proficiency or direct experience implementing AI in data workflows.
