Description
We are seeking a highly organized and versatile Marketing Generalist to support the execution of our marketing initiatives across multiple channels. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on marketing experience who can confidently manage day-to-day marketing activities, take direction, contribute creative ideas, and consistently follow projects through to completion.
The ideal candidate has experience with email marketing, social media management, content creation, basic graphic design, event marketing, and marketing project coordination. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and streamline marketing workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute
email marketing campaigns using ActiveCampaign, including:
- Creating and formatting email campaigns
- Building and maintaining automations
- Managing contact lists, tags, and segments
- Monitoring campaign performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Create and adapt
marketing graphics and materials using Canva while following established brand guidelines, including:
- Social media graphics
- Email graphics
- Flyers
- Event materials
- Other promotional assets
Manage and publish content across
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including:
- Scheduling and publishing posts
- Writing, editing, and refining captions
- Formatting content appropriately for each platform
- Maintaining a consistent social media content calendar
Repurpose existing content such as
long-form videos, presentations, webinars, and other marketing materials into:
- Short-form videos
- Social media posts
- Email campaigns
- Promotional materials
- Other content assets
Support
event marketing initiatives for educational luncheons, classes, client events, and community events by:
- Developing promotional campaigns
- Creating invitations and marketing materials
- Managing event communications and follow-ups
- Tracking RSVPs and supporting event coordination
Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously while maintaining
marketing calendars, deadlines, and project deliverables.
Collaborate with internal team members to execute marketing initiatives and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
Use
AI tools to support content creation, research, organization, brainstorming, and overall marketing efficiency.
Maintain and update marketing content through
WordPress and create/manage forms using
Typeform.
Monitor marketing activities and campaign results and provide insights or recommendations when appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 4–5+ years of hands-on marketing experience in a generalist or similar marketing role
- Hands-on experience with ActiveCampaign, including email campaigns, automations, lists, tags, and reporting
- Experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Proficiency in Canva and the ability to work within established brand guidelines
- Experience with content creation and content repurposing
- Basic video editing experience is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting event marketing and promotional campaigns
- Experience with WordPress and Typeform
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve marketing workflows and productivity
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Highly responsive, proactive, and dependable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong ability to take direction while also contributing ideas and recommendations
