Job Overview

A fast-growing e-commerce retail business specializing in consumer products sold through its online storefront. The company is preparing for significant expansion following upcoming national media exposure and is looking to strengthen its operational and marketing support team.

Job Highlights

Schedule: Part Time, 20h per week - Mon - Fri. 8 am - 10 am EDT time zone, remaining hours are flexible.

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Responsibilities

E-Commerce Operations

  • Manage and maintain the Shopify store, including product updates
  • Process and manage daily orders through Shopify and ShipStation
  • Support inventory updates and general store maintenance
  • Ensure website content and product information remain accurate and up to date
  • Assist with system cleanup and operational optimization tasks

Marketing & Social Media

  • Create and schedule engaging social media content across multiple platforms
  • Respond to customer messages and support online community engagement
  • Support brand visibility through consistent content and communication
  • Assist with influencer outreach and engagement initiatives when needed

Administrative Support

  • Provide flexible operational and administrative assistance as required
  • Support day-to-day business workflows and ongoing projects
  • Help maintain organized digital systems and processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing Shopify stores and backend operations
  • Experience with e-commerce order management and fulfillment workflows
  • Strong social media content creation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving business environment

Highly Regarded Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with ShipStation or similar shipping platforms
  • Experience with influencer engagement and community management
  • Experience supporting scaling e-commerce brands
  • Basic graphic design or content editing skills
  • Understanding of customer engagement and online brand building
