Job Description

This is a remote position.

Virtual Rockstar is hiring a full-time Marketing Assistant on behalf of our client, a mission-driven therapy practice located in North Carolina offering occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), speech therapy, and mental wellness services. This role helps strengthen brand awareness, drive new patient referrals, support recruitment marketing, and consistently execute content and digital marketing initiatives across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and publish content across key channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google Business Profile to maintain a consistent, values-aligned posting rhythm.

  • Produce and edit marketing assets such as reels, short-form videos, graphics, flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials using tools like Canva, CapCut, and Mailchimp.

  • Maintain a content calendar and ensure brand tone, messaging accuracy, and consistent execution across platforms.

  • Support digital marketing and website updates including basic website content updates, SEO improvements, blog publishing, landing pages, and job postings.

  • Monitor and support online reputation management by tracking Google reviews, responding/flagging feedback as needed, and helping improve public-facing presence.

  • Assist with campaigns designed to increase referrals, support waitlist reduction efforts, and drive new patient starts.

  • Promote programs, camps, groups, and specialized services to support strong enrollment and community engagement.

  • Support recruitment and employer brand marketing by posting job openings, running recruitment campaigns, highlighting therapist/team culture, and reinforcing the practice's identity as an employer of choice.

  • Assist with planning and promoting community events, internal celebrations, workshops, outreach activities, and partnerships; create promotional materials and track results.

  • Track performance metrics and KPIs (engagement, reviews, referral growth, website analytics, campaign outcomes) and provide monthly reporting with improvement recommendations.



Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting marketing execution, social media, and content creation (healthcare, therapy, or community-based organizations a plus).

  • Strong writing skills for captions, newsletters, and promotional messaging with an ability to maintain a consistent, mission-aligned brand voice.

  • Comfortable working across multiple platforms and tools including Google Workspace, Canva, CapCut, Mailchimp, and major social platforms (FB, IG, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Linktree).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and posting schedules with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Basic understanding of SEO, website updates, and analytics tracking (or the ability to learn quickly).

  • Collaborative, proactive working styleable to take initiative while staying aligned with leadership direction.
