Job Summary
The Marine Manager is responsible for leading and managing all activities within the Marine Department to ensure the achievement of departmental objectives. This role holds overall accountability for providing expert guidance on ship management, particularly in relation to navigation and cargo operations. The Marine Manager ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of vessels in accordance with domestic/international maritime regulations, company standards, and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include overseeing vessel maintenance, and operational performance. This leadership role demands strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance across all marine functions.
Qualifications
Degree in Marine Transportation
Management and Leadership Courses
At least a 12 years experience at Sea for both operational and management level.
At least 5-7 years related experience in a ship management organization; extensive experience in marine operations
Good understanding of SOLAS (including ISM, MARPOL, STCW, OCIMF and other IMO regulations
Sea experience: minimum of 2-3 years as Captain preferably in tanker vessels
Exposure in business planning and operations
PRC accreditation, preferably with Master Mariners/ License
Experience in Oil tankering industry, shipping operations, logistics operations
