Main Job Purpose
Responsible for the following Areas of Make Operations:
- Upstream Operations: Inbound Material Warehouses; Production Services (Day Store)
- FG Conversion: Mix Plants; Freezing/Packing Hall; Palletizing Area; FG Transfer to Central Cold Store
- Parallel Responsibilities: Overall Factory Performance Management reporting to IC PH Supply Chain Director; Factory Master Plan; Pasig Waste Champion; UMS AM Pillar Lead
BUSINESS PLANNING
- Take active part in the Company's Business Planning process by designing Production Run Strategies that can support the growth and profit objectives.
- Closely coordinate with other functions, such as logistics, marketing, sales and finance, to integrate the important elements of the Business Plan.
PRODUCTION and RESOURCE PLANNING
- Prepare the Production Plan with GTM Team to integrate the capabilities and capacities of the factory with the Annual Marketing and Financial Plans to achieve the overall business goals of the Company.
- Identify and assign the resources required to support the Annual Production Plan that will balance desired Customer Service Levels against Production Efficiencies.
- Recommend solutions to fill any gaps in capacity and resources.
- Prepare an Annual Production Operating Budget aligned with the strategic business plan.
- Review, plan and recommend the Material Warehouse facilities to support the MRP.
PRODUCTIVITY and RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
- Ensure that goods are produced efficiently and that correct quantities are produced at the right cost.
- Set the standards for Efficiency and Productivity KPIs and lead programs to ensure planned Targets are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for the optimum use of the available funds and managing the sanctioned budget.
- Address immediately any exceptions to manage impact to the business.
- Generate Cost Efficiency Savings from Material Wastes, Labour Productivity, Rentals and other Operating Expense to support the Factory's Objective on continuous reduction in Conversion Cost (CPT)
- Lead the Manpower Efficiency Roadmap for the Site
TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
- Ensure consistent increase in Productivity by the use of cost-efficient machines or technologies but not compromising standards on SHE and Quality.
- Take smart decisions for the purchase of equipment and machinery for Production.
- Align and coordinate with the Asia Technology Team for new Technology designs and Best Practices.
PRODUCTION CONTROL
- Ensure that all Production Operations adhere to the Company's Safety, Health and Environment Standards
- Ensure that products are produced on-time, in-full and are of good quality.
- Monitor the progress of production and adjust schedules and priorities as needed.
- Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
- Ensures Daily R2S Meeting, Weekly Quality & Safety Cascade, Circle Meetings are conducted consistently to manage Production activities and results.
WAREHOUSING CONTROL
- Ensure that Material Warehouse facilities comply with the standards on Safety and Quality.
- Provide guidelines to ensure continuous supply of materials as required by Production in the most efficient process.
- Ensure that all business systems, financial and inventory checks are being implemented.
INNOVATION
- Support the Innovation Team (Brand, R&D, Logistics) on all aspects of Production and Ice Cream Technology.
- Design process and equipment to produce the Innovation Product while ensuring continuing compliance on SHE, CRQS and Cost Standards and Targets.
- Provide active participation and advice on the Innovation Process (i.e. from Design to Full Factory Implementation)
ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT
- Build an active, proficient but lean Production Organization to ensure success in achieving the business results.
- Ensure that the collaboration between various Teams is lucid and that motivation and morale of the different levels of the organization are always high.
- Oversee the proper implementation of the Company's Code of Business Principles, Rules & Regulations, Safety and Quality Guidelines.
- Review the performance of the direct subordinates and provide feedback on improvements.
- Design a Training Program based on the skills and proficiency required by each position and the actual gaps of people on the job.
- Ensure that the programs of ICMS are active and well participated by all people in the Production and Material Warehouse operations.
FACTORY MASTERPLAN
- Prepare a Long Range Plan (LRP) for Line Capacities and recommend necessary Line Expansions and/or Improvements for bottleneck processes
- Integrate aspects on SHE, Quality and Productivity in the Master Plan design while upgrading and aligning with BU / BG Technology.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Asia & Global IC Technology Teams on the objectives, principles, designs and implementation program of the Master Plan.
- Prepare the Business Case for each Master Plan activity.
- Prepare Capex Plans for required line expansions or improvements.
- Execute the implementation of the Master Plan and deliver results based on the Business Case.
