Mandarin Business Development Representative (Bankruptcy Services)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1,500
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mandarin Business Development Representative to join our growing bankruptcy consulting team. This role is responsible for building relationships with Chinese-speaking companies that are creditors in U.S. bankruptcy cases.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is confident in making outbound calls, building trust with executives, and helping businesses understand how our firm can assist them throughout the U.S. bankruptcy process.
No prior bankruptcy experience is required. We will provide comprehensive training on U.S. bankruptcy law, our services, and our internal processes. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly professional, and passionate about building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Client Outreach
- Conduct outbound phone calls and email outreach to Chinese-speaking companies listed as creditors in U.S. bankruptcy cases.
- Introduce the firm's services and explain how we assist creditors throughout the bankruptcy process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients.
- Qualify leads and identify companies that may benefit from our services.
- Schedule meetings and consultations with attorneys and senior team members.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects until a decision is made.
Relationship Management
- Develop trust and credibility with business owners, executives, and financial decision-makers.
- Serve as the primary Mandarin-speaking point of contact for prospective clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Assist clients in understanding the next steps and answer general questions regarding the firm's services.
Translation & Communication Support
- Provide Mandarin-to-English and English-to-Mandarin interpretation during meetings and conference calls when needed.
- Translate written communications and emails as required.
- Help bridge communication between the firm's legal team and Mandarin-speaking clients.
CRM & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions in the company's CRM.
- Track outreach activities, follow-ups, meeting notes, and client communications.
- Ensure all prospect information is current and organized.
Learning & Professional Development
- Participate in comprehensive training on U.S. bankruptcy law and creditor representation.
- Continuously expand knowledge of bankruptcy terminology and legal processes.
- Utilize AI tools and internal training resources to accelerate learning and improve performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Native or professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, customer success, or client relationship management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable making outbound phone calls and engaging with prospective clients.
- Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and CRM systems.
- Ability to build trust quickly and establish strong relationships with new contacts.

Preferred:
- Experience working with Chinese manufacturers, exporters, importers, or other international businesses.
- Experience in legal services, financial services, banking, consulting, or other professional services.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms.
- Proficiency in additional Chinese dialects is a plus.
*Bankruptcy or legal experience is NOT required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
