About Our Client

An international lubricants company is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Philippine business and accelerate profitable growth. The role combines full country leadership with hands-on commercial responsibility, overseeing sales, technical, supply chain, finance, and operational functions.

Job Description

Reporting to regional leadership, the Managing Director will lead the Philippine business and assume responsibility for both country management and sales leadership.Key responsibilities include:

Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies for the Philippine market.
Lead sales, technical, supply chain, finance, and administrative functions to achieve business objectives.
Drive profitable revenue growth through value-based selling and strategic customer development.
Own annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
Build and develop a high-performing leadership team while fostering a strong performance culture.
Strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Partner closely with regional and global stakeholders to align local execution with broader business objectives.
Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and growth initiatives.
Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded general manager with a proven track record of leading industrial or technical businesses within multinational environments.You will likely possess:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
15+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
Experience within lubricants, specialty chemicals, industrial products, engineering solutions, automotive, or related sectors.
Proven success managing both commercial and operational functions with full P&L accountability.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams of 10+ employees across multiple functions.
Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and leadership skills.
Experience working in multinational organizations and collaborating with regional stakeholders.
Commercially driven with a track record of delivering profitable growth through value-based selling.
Strong executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities.
