Location: Hybrid-4x Onsite per month, Ayala, Makati, Philippines.
Summary: The Managing Director is responsible for managing, planning, designing, and implementing operational and administrative activities of the office, aligning with global business strategy. The position ensures company direction and business are aligned with operating objectives, standards, and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and supervises the activities of all employees.
- Delegates duties among employees and allocates proper resources to the team.
- Provides guidance and leadership for employees as needed and supports employee developmental programs.
- Implements company policies and makes key decisions within the office.
- Maintains budgets and monitors costs against budget.
- Researches and analyzes industry, market, and competitors to make informed strategy decisions.
- Takes initiatives to take advantage of market opportunities, reduce operational threats, and forestall business risks.
- Responsible to identify/grow local business in Malaysia.
- Identifies core competencies, maximizes core strengths, and defines operational goals.
- Able to represent our client to major and potential customers and maintain relationships.
- Leadership responsibilities: Work with all staff in the Malaysia office to grow their skills and capabilities.
- Reports project status clearly to cross-border teams and management.
- Liaisons with management to ensure Company efforts are in alignment.
Requirements:
- 10 + years of working experience in the post-production industry (subtitle & dubbing).
- Excellent understanding of localization trends and market changes in the local environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across a variety of personality types and resolve conflicts with competing ideas.
- Strong people management skills with multinational experience.
- BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc, MA, MBA preferred.
- Nice to have: Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
