MU is representing a market-leading organization in the workplace interiors and ergonomic solutions sector in the search for a Managing Director, Global Accounts, APAC.
This is a high-profile regional leadership opportunity for a commercially minded player-coach who can both lead from the front and personally drive strategic account growth across APAC.
Our client is looking for someone who can combine hands-on global account leadership, team management, and cross-regional stakeholder influence to help scale an already successful and fast-growing regional program.
The opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and expanding relationships with major multinational clients across APAC, while developing a high-performing team and strengthening collaboration across international markets.
This is a newly created position with strong visibility and influence, suited to someone who is as comfortable building executive client relationships as they are setting account priorities, coaching team members, and driving execution.
Key responsibilities
· Lead the APAC global accounts strategy and execution
· Develop and grow relationships with large multinational customers across the region
· Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cross-sell, and upsell
· Manage, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team
· Build clear account plans and drive disciplined execution
· Partner closely with regional and global stakeholders across sales, operations, marketing, and leadership
· Act as a senior point of contact for complex client issues and strategic opportunities
· Help strengthen alignment and collaboration across APAC and international teams
Candidate profile
· Proven experience in global account management in a leadership capacity
· Strong success managing large, complex, multinational accounts
· Able to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on commercial operator
· Strong people leadership and coaching capability
· Excellent executive stakeholder management and influencing skills
· Commercially astute, with strong negotiation and financial management skills
· Experience within furniture, interiors, flooring, lighting, partitions, or closely related sectors is highly attractive
· Adjacent experience from relevant corporate real estate or account-led environments may also be of interest
· Comfortable working across regions in a matrixed, international environment
· Willingness to travel internationally as required

We are seeking a commercially strong and hands-on player-coach — someone who can operate at senior level while remaining close to execution. This role will suit an individual who enjoys leading from the front, building structure, creating momentum, and working collaboratively across a complex international organisation.
The Role
The Managing Director, Global Accounts, APAC will lead the development and execution of the regional global accounts strategy, with responsibility for growing relationships with major multinational clients across APAC. The role combines strategic account leadership, commercial delivery, cross-functional influence, and people management.
This is a newly created appointment designed to strengthen the region's ability to win, grow, and retain major international accounts. Alongside account growth, the successful candidate will also be expected to bring clarity, coaching, and day-to-day leadership to an existing regional team.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and execute the APAC global accounts strategy in alignment with international business objectives
· Build and deepen relationships with senior stakeholders across major multinational clients
· Drive revenue growth through strategic account development, cross-sell, and upsell activity
· Manage, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team
· Create clear account plans, set priorities, and ensure strong execution across the region
· Partner with internal stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and North America to align account strategy and client delivery
· Act as a senior escalation point for key client issues and strategic opportunities
· Support a collaborative, high-performance culture across regions and functions
· Contribute to broader regional growth plans as the global accounts platform expands
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with individuals who bring:
· Proven experience in global account management within a leadership role
· A strong track record managing large, complex, multinational clients
· The ability to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on, commercial approach
· Strong team leadership and coaching experience, ideally across regional or international teams
· Excellent executive stakeholder management and influencing skills
· Commercial acumen, including negotiation, financial oversight, and account profitability management
· A collaborative and diplomatic approach, with the credibility to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
· Experience in furniture, interiors, flooring, lighting, partitions, or adjacent sectors; relevant account-led backgrounds from corporate real estate or other environments may also be of interest
· Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
