The Qualifications We Seek
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in subscriber analytics, audience insights, customer analytics, retention analytics, or commercial analytics
- Strong background supporting subscription-based businesses such as digital media, publishing, SaaS, telecommunications, or other recurring revenue environments
- Proven experience leading analytics teams and developing high-performing analysts
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across Product, CRM, Marketing, Commercial, Editorial, and Customer Experience functions
Subscription & Customer Analytics
- Strong understanding of subscription performance, customer acquisition, engagement, retention, churn reduction, and customer lifetime value (LTV)
- Experience performing audience segmentation, cohort analysis, behavioral analytics, lifecycle reporting, and customer journey analysis
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities through customer behavior, engagement trends, and subscription performance
- Experience supporting experimentation, conversion optimization, pricing initiatives, and retention strategies
Leadership & Commercial Influence
- Demonstrated people management, coaching, and performance development experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations
- Proven ability to influence strategic decisions using data-driven storytelling
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to extract, transform, and analyze large subscription datasets
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and executive reporting using Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms
- Experience working with customer engagement, digital analytics, experimentation, and data engineering teams
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex business questions into measurable insights
Your Daily Tasks
- Lead audience segmentation and deliver insights to improve subscriber growth, engagement, and retention
- Analyze customer behavior and translate data into actionable business recommendations
- Partner with Product, Editorial, CRM, Marketing, and Pricing teams to optimize customer journeys and acquisition strategies
- Identify high-value and at-risk subscriber segments to support targeted retention campaigns
- Collaborate on A/B testing, experimentation, and conversion optimization initiatives
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for key stakeholders
- Standardize audience and subscription analytics frameworks across the business
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Audience Insights Analysts
- Present data-driven insights that influence strategic business decisions
- Drive improvements in engagement, conversion, retention, subscriber growth, and customer lifetime value (LTV)
