As Manager/ Senior Manager/ Lead Manager (Supply Chain Capability Development) (Pharmaceutical) in the Strategic Resource Management Division, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Strategic procurement and supply management.
- Supply sustainability and resilience.
- Stockpile planning and readiness.
- Quality and governance assurance
- Contingency planning and response.
- Policy and stakeholder coordination.
You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
- Plan and manage the procurement and lifecycle of strategic pharmaceutical supplies. This includes developing sourcing approaches, assessing supply risks, managing vendors and balancing readiness, affordability, shelf life and wastage considerations.
- Identify vulnerabilities in pharmaceutical supply chains and develop practical options to strengthen supply continuity.
- Develop new frameworks, operating models and solutions for emerging or less-defined areas of work. You will convert broad policy objectives and operational needs into clear, implementable plans.
- Support demand planning, inventory monitoring, replenishment, deployment and disposal of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Work with manufacturers, logistics service providers and public healthcare institutions to ensure that pharmaceutical supplies are managed in accordance with applicable contractual, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support the management of product shortages, recalls, quality issues and other supply disruptions. You will engage healthcare institutions, government agencies, logistics service providers, pharmaceutical suppliers and other stakeholders to develop and implement solutions to ensure availability of pharmaceutical supplies.
What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy with relevant experience in the hospitals.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE - Minimum 2 years (for Manager) or 5 years (for Senior Manager) or 8 years (for Lead Manager) of managerial experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, written and facilitation skills. Having experience in risk management, negotiation and working with different work cultures will be an advantage.
- Working experience in policy development, programme management, data analysis or preparation of management submissions.
- Working experience in procurement, product life cycle management, vendor management of therapeutic products.
- Good awareness of Good Distribution Practice or Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices.
- Working experience in audit of supply chain for regulated products with knowledge of distribution management, medical product management and contingency operations is preferred. Experience in pharmaceutical-related audits or projects will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint, Bower BI, Tableau) preferred.

- Depending on operational requirements, officers may occasionally be required to support urgent work outside normal office hours.
Candidates without experience in every area may still be considered if they demonstrate strong transferable competencies, learning agility and the potential to undertake the responsibilities of the role.
For more senior appointments, candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead complex workstreams, guide team members, influence stakeholders and provide clear recommendations to management.
