Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) is the largest business-led non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Philippines, established in 1970 to lead the private sector's efforts in poverty reduction. Founded by 50 business leaders, it encourages companies to fulfill their corporate social responsibility (CSR) by pooling resources and expertise to support sustainable development.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Manager of the Grant Management and Implementation Unit will be responsible for overseeing the effective implementation and management of grant-funded projects. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with grant requirements, achieving project objectives, and maintaining high standards of program delivery. The Manager will lead a team of professionals dedicated to monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the progress of grant-funded initiatives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Management

• Oversee the administration of all grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement effective grant management systems and processes.
• Coordinate with program teams to ensure alignment of grant activities with project goals.

Project Implementation

• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of grant-funded projects.
• Ensure timely and efficient implementation of project activities, adhering to established timelines and budgets.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to project delivery.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and support the Grant Management and Implementation Unit team members.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to staff.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of data.
• Use findings to inform and improve project strategies and operations.

Reporting

• Prepare and submit comprehensive progress reports to donors and stakeholders.
• Ensure transparency and accountability in all reporting activities.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all project activities and outcomes.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and beneficiaries.
• Represent PBSP at meetings, conferences, and other relevant forums.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure all projects comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and donor requirements.
• Implement quality assurance practices to maintain high standards of project delivery.
• Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, project management, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in grant management and project implementation, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and teams.

Skills:

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects funded by any foreign donors or funding agencies.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
