Responsibilities

Drive overall technical architecture, design, build and launch features and improvements on our platform.
Deliver high-impact complex projects that may span multiple teams and amplify impact by aligning organizations toward coherent architectural strategies.
Drive delivery of business outcomes across multiple teams, including planning and execution.
Collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to get actionable, valuable work defined for the team.
Ensure end-to-end delivery of software, including team ownership of monitoring and production issue remediation.
Coach individuals in professional and technical development to set them up for success.
Hire and mentor Team Leads and Senior Technical Staff members to ensure their success at Toast.

Requirements

Fintech products solution design, implementation at launch at scale.
10+ years mentoring and growing successful teams.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent quantitative disciplines.
5+ years of managing, coaching and growing successful teams.
Highly proficient knowledge in a high-level programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Go, etc. No problems if you have experience with other languages. Good engineers can adapt.
Excellent knowledge in other parts of the stack, Postgres, JavaScript (React), Flutter.
Enjoys building well-engineered, usable, and accessible systems.
Experience working in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology.
