Job Description

The Human Resource and Corporate Services Manager is responsible for the effective and well-governed operation of SIIA.

The role oversees key corporate functions including human resources, administration, IT, office and facilities management, governance, stakeholder support and organisational performance tracking. It also serves as the key liaison with SIIA's Council, advisors and trustees.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisational judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively across functions and with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Human Resources

  • Oversee HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employment records and contracts.
  • Coordinate performance management, staff development and related people matters.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with organisational needs and relevant government requirements.

2. Administration, Operations and IT

  • Oversee day-to-day office administration, procurement and vendor management.
  • Maintain appropriate administrative processes, records and documentation.
  • Coordinate SIIA's IT requirements, including hardware, software, licences, systems, access and external IT support.
  • Ensure appropriate arrangements for information security, data management and access control.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through better systems and processes.

3. Office and Facilities Management

  • Manage matters relating to SIIA's office premises and lease.
  • Coordinate discussions with landlords, agents and other parties on lease terms and office requirements.
  • Manage any office relocation, renovation or reconfiguration, including vendors, IT, furniture and logistics.
  • Ensure the office remains functional, appropriate and cost-effective.

4. Council, Advisors and Trustees

  • Serve as the key administrative liaison with SIIA's Council, advisors and trustees.
  • Coordinate meetings, including schedules, agendas, papers, minutes and supporting materials.
  • Maintain records, action items and follow up on decisions and agreed actions.
  • Coordinate appointments, terms and other administrative matters relating to SIIA's governance bodies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Council members, trustees and advisors.

5. Governance

  • Support the Chairman and Council in maintaining sound governance practices.
  • Maintain governance policies, procedures, registers and key organisational records.
  • Track governance requirements, approvals and reporting obligations.
  • Monitor compliance with SIIA's Constitution, policies and relevant governance requirements.
  • Ensure governance decisions are appropriately documented and followed through.

6. Organisational KPI and Performance Tracking

  • Maintain a consolidated framework for tracking KPIs across SIIA's functions.
  • Work with functional leads to establish appropriate targets and reporting measures.
  • Consolidate KPI information monthly and monitor progress against agreed targets.
  • Prepare management and Council-level performance updates and dashboards.
  • Follow up on outstanding deliverables and areas requiring management attention.
  • Periodically review KPIs to ensure alignment with SIIA's priorities.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in business administration, human resources, management, corporate governance or a related field.
  • Preferably 5 to 7 years of working experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience across corporate services, operations, HR, administration or governance.
  • Experience supporting senior management, boards, councils or committees.
  • Experience managing HR, administrative functions, vendors and professional service providers.
  • Familiarity with non-profit governance would be advantageous.
  • Experience with office leases or relocations, KPI reporting and IT coordination would be advantageous.
