  • Stand up the department: organization, policies, process maps, service catalogue, and transition of the Physical Asset Management, Goods Receipt / Warehouse, and Facility Quality functions transferred from Workplace Management.
  • Design and maintain the WPFMG asset register as the single source of truth, reconciled with the Finance Fixed Asset ledger (Project Control & Fixed Asset Management) and SAP records.
  • Establish standards and controls for asset acceptance, tagging, custodianship, movement or transfer, and end-of-life disposal, including approval workflows aligned with the Delegation of Authority policy (POLFINADM002).
  • Plan and execute the periodic asset inventory program (cycle counts and annual wall-to-wall counts); investigate variances and drive resolution of unaccounted assets.
  • Chair the asset disposal process: valuation, mode of disposal, documentation, and proceeds accounting, in coordination with Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Materials Management (MM).
  • Apply industrial-engineering methods (time-and-motion, layout, process capability, Lean / Six Sigma) to streamline warehouse-related, receiving, and asset-handling operations.
  • Lead the automation of asset processes and the deployment of an asset registry system; define data standards and dashboards for a single view of WPFMG assets.
  • Manage department budget, manpower, and vendor engagements; set KPIs and develop the team.
  • Report asset health, inventory accuracy, and disposal performance to the SVP and Top Management; support internal and external audit requirements.

Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Performance Indicators

  • Asset Register Accuracy: Completeness and accuracy of the register (% of assets tagged, recorded, and reconciled with the Finance ledger).
  • Inventory Precision: Physical inventory accuracy and count completion vs. plan; reduction of unaccounted or unlocated assets.
  • Goods Receipt Efficiency: Goods receipt processing cycle time and accuracy.
  • Recovery on Disposals: Disposal cycle time and recovery value vs. appraised value.
  • Group Grid Contribution: Compliance KPI (20% weight) and Department Efficiency (30% weight) attainment in the WPFMG scorecard.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (required); post-graduate units in management or supply chain are an advantage or equivalent
  • Licenses & Certifications (preferred but not required): Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE) or active PIIE membership preferred; ISO 55001 (Asset Management) and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certifications are an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in asset management, warehouse/materials management, or industrial operations, with at least three (3) years in a managerial capacity. Experience building a function from the ground up in multi-site, multi-entity environments is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (Fixed Assets / Materials Management) or equivalent ERP; experience with asset registries, barcoding / RFID systems, inventory control methods, process improvement toolkits, advanced Excel, and dashboard design.
  • Core Competencies: Ownership and accountability; process rigor and attention to detail; independence and objectivity (assurance mindset); analytical problem-solving; stakeholder management across Finance, SCM, and delivery pillars; people leadership.
